Research on the use of acupressure in labour

Research published in western medical journals such as Complementary Therapies in Medicine and The Journal of Midwifery & Women’s Health conclude that acupressure is a safe, non-invasive, non pharmacological method of reducing pain in labour. These studies will be examined; detailing the acupressure points and methods used to produce these results.

Practical point location session on finding the acupressure points

A practical hands on session that involves locating 10 acupressure points. Along with written information and diagrams, time is allocated for all participants to demonstrate that they are able to locate the points accurately on each other.
