Diane K Cridennda, L.Ac.

At East Winds Acupuncture, Diane Cridennda, L.Ac. has dedicated a significant amount of her practice to treating infertility. She has teamed with Reproductive Medicine & Fertility Center, Center for Reproductive Medicine, Conceptions, Fertility Center of Colorado and RMFC @ NM to assist in the treatment of In Vitro Fertilization patients and provides acupuncture services to patients struggling with infertility.

Diane continues her research projects with Reproductive Medicine & Fertility Center ™ adding acupuncture to high tech fertility treatments, IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). Her research with IVF demonstrated a higher percent chance of pregnancy, and more importantly, more take home babies, fewer ectopic pregnancies and fewer miscarriages to those women who had acupuncture.

Diane’s research on Poor Prognosis IVF Patients is published in the supplement of Fertility and Sterility Vol. 81 Sup 3 April 2004. It won the Private Practice Physician’s award for Research. She presented her work to the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS) in 2005 on Improvement of IVF Outcomes by Acupuncture. She has also presented her work on Good Prognosis IVF patients to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) annual meeting in Philadelphia as well as reporting to The World Congress For Human Reproduction in Venice Italy and Acupuncture: Impact on Pregnancy Outcomes in IVF Patients. Acupuncture and In Vitro Fertilization: Does the Number of Treatments Impact Reproductive Outcomes?

Diane is currently investigating the role of the stress hormone Cortisol & Prolactin on the impact of acupuncture in IVF outcomes. Acupuncture is an option for infertility whether using high tech fertility treatments or a more natural approach.

Diane believes “We must take advantage of the breakthroughs in modern technology, but we can’t lose touch with the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine”.
